Barrister’s Bed and Breakfast COVID-19 Protocols and Policies
What is the threat
Prospective guests need to know that the lodging destination provides a safe and comfortable lodging experience during their travels. Barrister’s Bed and Breakfast has the responsibility to provide that comfort and security, but we also have an obligation to ensure that each and every guest does not bring an infection into the lodging establishment.
How are we addressing the risk?
Barrister’s Bed and Breakfast industry has a longstanding commitment to cleanliness and safety for its employees and customers. We continue the commitment during the public health crisis. Our guidelines represent best practices for the Bed and Breakfast (B&B) industry. In accordance with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, New York and Seneca County Health Departments during the reopening phase(s) of the NY State economy. It is anticipated that these guidelines and protocols will evolve based on the recommendation of County and State Public Health authorities and must be done in compliance with any Federal, State and local laws. A detailed plan is on file but a general overview shows that breakfast is served seated and distancing rules apply. Coffee service, salt and pepper, sugar, creamer, etc. are available to each seated party and they are not shared with other guests. Cleaning protocols are strictly adhered to in common rooms, outside seating areas and private rooms. Sanitizer stations are located in the common areas and the private rooms. In addition, a disinfectant soap is available in the private rooms.
NY State Travel Advisory is in place and reservations are not allowed to prospective guests from restricted states. The list changes weekly and a complete list is available from the NY State website.
