Maplejack Liqueur is a favorite at Barrister’s
You won’t find boring food at Barrister’s Bed and Breakfast. We discovered a Maplejack liqueur at Finger Lakes Distillery and we make a dish that we call ‘Maplejack Whipped Sweet Potatoes’. Once you try this you will be making your way to Finger Lakes Distillery to sample this great flavor all by itself. Here is the recipe for those who have asked for this delicious side dish.
Maplejack Whipped Sweet Potatoes
Peel and cut into cubes two large sweet potatoes. Place in a pot of boiling water. Then they are fork tender, drain them and whipped them until fluffy. Add 3 tablespoons of butter, 1/4 cup of Maple Syrup, a tablespoon of Maplejack (you will tend to be more generous after you taste this stuff), 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg and whipped them again. I like to add toasted pecans on top. Serve hot and enjoy!
